Aaron Z. Matusick was born in Greenville, Pennsylvania on March 25, 1975. He spent the first several years of practice developing practical, hands on skills that help owners of businesses and real property succeed. Immediately out of law school, Aaron formed a real property development company that purchased commercial/mixed-use buildings in Portland. Aaron worked directly with the sellers, financial institutions, Portland Development Commission, leasing agents and others to redevelop the buildings from asbestos-ridden blight to beautiful income-generating assets. Aaron's hands on experience has been instrumental in his practice of consulting with clients on a wide range of issues including entity formation, real property acquisition, sales, leasing and property management. His approachability and down to earth personality encourage clients to gravitate towards him, which ultimately leads to their protection.

Aaron has focused his practice on landlord-tenant law in the past couple of years and has gained considerable courtroom experience fighting for owners of real property and property management companies. In addition to landlord-tenant matters, Aaron has experience representing buyers, sellers and developers of real property, including himself. He assists clients in negotiating and closing commercial and real property transactions, and assists corporate clients to maintain and operate businesses with legal efficiency. Whether providing client's business solutions and services, or assisting clients to resolve commercial disputes, Aaron provides practical advice in a cost-effective and time sensitive manner.

Outside the office Aaron is an outdoor enthusiast and spends his time kayaking, surfing, practicing yoga, biking and skiing. As a way of giving back to the community, Aaron also spends time as a volunteer mediator for the Multnomah County Small Claims Court Mediation Program and with a local non-profit mediation outfit called Resolutions Northwest.
